I am dedicating the month of March to sharing African success stories on this blog. Narrating your life story is a powerful and courageous act. It empowers you and it empowers others. Your story will be one of many that celebrate personal, communal, pioneering or innovative accomplishments of African people.
Are you a walking testimony? Are you a pioneer? Are you an innovator? Have you been though the pipeline of adversity yet came out strong? Are you a start-up? Are you a die-hard hustler/entrepreneur? What keeps you going? It’s time to TELL SOMEONE ABOUT IT. Let others be empowered by your grit and success journey. Your story can inspire thousands of people to Take Ownership of their lives just as you have with yours. So, I’m really longing to share YOUR story to empower fellow Africans. Will you give me the honor? :)
Everybody has a story! Your success story, life story, horror story, all kinds of story woven together can become a collection of extraordinary empowering stories that can inspire others to take action, conquer depression and follow their dreams.
We all have a story to tell about good times and bad, how we've struggled to find answers where there were none, overcome hardship and heartache, and discovered the secrets to some of our life's greatest joys. Sharing our stories is not only empowering it helps others who may be on similar journeys.
We have read enough Western success stories and it’s time to come back home, look within ourselves, celebrate, and be inspired by our own champions, innovators, start-ups and pioneers. We can relate more when we read the struggles, pain, failure, grit, and achievements of our own people.
There is someone somewhere with a dream wondering if they can do this, wondering if they got what it takes…..reading your story might just be what they need to jump start their journey. Your story could be the link to someone's life being turned around. Offer someone the opportunity to take action, conquer fear and change the world for the better.
Therefore, #SendMeYourStory #ShareThisPost, #TellAFriendToTellAFriend, #TagSomeoneYouKnowHasAnInspiringStoryToTell. Let’s fish out all undercover tycoons, champions, innovators, start-ups and everyone in pursuit of their purpose from the four corners of Africa. Let’s empower an African child – show them it’s possible, believe in their dreams and transform their mindset through stories of real people who made it work against all odds – and or are still thriving to make it work against all odds.
I know that success mean different things for different people….but I’m searching for a different kind of success. So, plz TAKE NOTE that slay queens and slay kings who only flaunt materials things around are NOT included in this search. I mean no harm guys….just that materialism – latest cars, expensive clothing brands, etc DOES NOT fit the criteria for success I am seeking to broadcast/promote.
I am looking for people who are motivated by something beyond material possessions, people who don’t make it look easy, people who make it crystal clear that they haven’t “arrived yet” but are thriving to become better at their craft day by day. I’m looking for people whose vision, purpose and dreams overtook their fears, mistakes, insecurities and doubts. I am looking for legacy builders. I am looking for the gifted/talented who did not abandon their talents. I am looking for real visionaries who are motivated by purpose and the desire to create value, change lives and impact the world.
Being a visionary, an innovator, self-employed, a dream chaser or an entrepreneur has its ups and downs but conquering fear, obstacles and people’s opinions has unlocked many doors for many people. What's your story? Please share.
